Post subject: w580i M2 stick with PC Suite
Archived from groups: alt>cellular>ericsson (more info?)

I have a Sony Ericsson w580i. It has a 4 GB M2 Memory Stick. I am
using "Sony Ericsson PC Suite" version 4.010.00.

While using the PC Suite, at some point, I have lost the ability to
access the M2 memory. I have re-booted and pulled the memory out of
the phone. All I get from the phone is the option to re-format the
memory upon re-boot. However, when I agree to move forward with the
re-formatting, the format fails. So, while it appears that the phone
recognizes that there is memory installed on the phone, it can't do
anything with it. I currently haven't tried to connect the memory
directly to a PC using a card reader.

The major issue appears to be that this all happened while attempting
to transfer some files to the M2 memory using PC Suite. At some point
in the transfer, the phone lost contact with the memory.

The M2 card must be damaged in some way, have you tried a different one?
