Jack,
I personally wouldn't go with the Motorola web store's battery. 2
reasons: Most likele is more expensive than the same battery you would
find elsewhere and second the less talk time with the weaker 700mah
battery.

I actually would go for a true Motorola battery. I've heard those
generic batteries are the ones that cause problems (like fires) and
sometimes don't work with the phone (sometimes they'll just not be
compatible with a phone and fail to charge with a "unable to charge"
message).

I don't like to pay more money than I have to, but in this case its
money well spent.

I usually feel uncomfortable shopping through e-bay or amazon, and I
would suggest using online retailers for a bargain. I have a tendency
to drop phones, and ruin my batteries. I always seem to find a good
deal and on time shipping with Partstore.
They have the Motorola SNN5683 Standard Lithium Battery (800 MAH)
selling at $27.95. In case you are still searching for this battery or
for future references, here is a link to that exact battery: 'Battery
Lithium, Motorola SNN5683 at PartStore.com' (http://tinyurl.com/3yqrag)

Hope this helps,
Danielle

Ouch!

Motorola SNN5683 for V276:
"http://www.cellularaccessory.com/v300batteries.html" $8.95.

Just out of ornerynes/pickiness, two things.....
top line says it is for a v276,
but when you go to the page it claims is for that specific phone it says:
Motorola SNN5683/ SNN5683A battery replaces SNN5653/ SNN5704/ SNN5704C/
SNN5717/ SNN5222, Li-Ion Slim Battery:
Motorola V60 series/ V66/ Timeport-P270c/ Timeport-P280/ E550/ V80/ V260/
V262/ V265/
V300 series/ V360/ V400 series/ V500 series/ V600/ V620 &
Nextel, Southern-LINC, Clear-NET, i30sx/ i35s/ i50sx/ i50sr/ i55sr/ i58sr/
i85s/ i88s/
i60c/ i90c/ i95cl/ i205/ i305/ i530/ i730/ i733/ i860 Cell Phone models
Factory original, Slim, 780 Mah, Lithium Ion Battery replaces SNN5704/
SNN5704C/ SNN5717/ SNN5222 & SNN5717

note that a v276 is *NOT* shown under details.

Second point is when it is good for....
Cell Phone Accessories Retail Store Price: $44.99

January Clearance Price is only: $8.95
That's a Discount Savings of: $36.04

looks like that is only a discount until the end of the month,
but of course if it doesn't actually support the phone they asked about,
doesn't really matter
just for anyone lurking, the 276 actually wants an 800 Ma battery (hard to
find, not the same as what most website sell), not a 780 (different sizes,
won't fit)... I would suspect that their website heading is wrong....Smile
