Archived from groups: alt>cellular>motorola (more info?)

Hello, all. Here's the situation. I have a CDMA V3c RAZR. I know the
subsidy lock code, and can access the programming menu no problem. I
also know the IP/port info that my phone uses to connect to the
internet. Now, here's my question.

Right now, my phone's wap web browser's default homepage is
http://homepage. I never use their homepage, EVER, I'd like to change
it to http://m.gmail.com in order to go straight to my GMail account.
Right now, I just have it bookmarked. Can I change the default
homepage? I tried going into "web sessions" and creating a new one, but
with a different homepage, but I can't edit it. Is this possible, or do
I have to download a different web browser, like opera or something?
Thanks Smile

How about sharing that unlock code with the rest of the group?

Sure. I work as a cell phone salesman for a service provider in Canada,
so I can't see how it'd do any harm Smile 236197 was the default security
code, and after I got my subsiy lock code from our database, I reset it
to 000000 Very Happy

I couldn't get my soft heys to use 'web shortcuts' or for some reason,
but I did manage to do the next best thing. After going into
websessions, I enabled the cache start up, so the browser starts up on
the page it was last visiting Smile I think this is what you were talking
about when you said "service load"

Oh. I guess my service provider disabled that by default. The only time
I receive a prompt for data exchange is when I'm using a JAva
Application.

I likewise use a bookmark. I configured my smart key to Web Shortcuts.
I configured Web Sessions -> Browser Setup -> Service Load to Allow.
(I have an unlimited data package, so there's no risk of running up unexpected
charges.) That way it takes only two keypresses to get to my personalized
Google home page (which includes Gmail). Smile

No, Service Load actually just eliminates the prompt before going on-line.

How and where do you enter this security code?
