Will this affect Sprint's messaging (10-digit-number@messaging.sprintpcs.com) function?

Thanks!

There will be no effect on the text messaging at all. This merely
applies to the actual PCS mail account which up to now has been the
vision username.TakeThisOut@sprintpcs.com. The inbox, and other emailing
functions using that address are basically what are going away. It
still will be used to verify data services usage/purchases made by the
users device. Below is the FAQ's regarding the change. I hope this
clears up your concerns.

1. Will my Outbound PCS Mail SMTP server still be available?
a. Yes - even though the PCS Mail product is being decommissioned the
outbound SMTP server will remain.

2. Are all of the email accounts going away?
a. No, only PCS Mail email is being decommissioned as of 12/31/2008.
Depending on your device, you will have other email options such as
Versa mail, Picture Mail, Sprint Mobile Email and other 3rd party
providers.

3. Will my Smartphone (such as a Treo 755p) email client be effected
by the decommissioning of PCS Mail?
a. No. Your Smartphone email client that you downloaded to your device
will not be affected.

4. Will my 2 way SMS Text Messaging service be impacted?
a. Absolutely not!

5. Will my POP email access remain?
a. Yes. You are able to POP email from any of the other 3rd party
email providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Microsoft, Thunderbird, etc).
Most of these email services are free, but check the POP email
provider's agreement information before signing up for a new email
account.

6. Does the Simply Everything Plan still include email?
a. Yes. We offer multiple email services including Sprint Mobile
Email, Sprint Picture Mail, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, and others.

7. How will I be affected if I use a Sprint Mobile Broadband Card and
I need to access a 3rd party email provider such as Yahoo, AOL, or
Google?
a. You may continue to do so and won't be affected.

8. How will I be affected if I use a Sprint Mobile Broadband Card and
use a 3rd party email client such as Microsoft Outlook?
a. If you use PCS Mail as your mailbox (pop.sprintpcs.com and
imap.sprintpcs.com), you will need to migrate your mailbox to a new
POP/IMAP mailbox provider and reconfigure the client to use the new
mailbox. Many Internet access providers offer POP or IMAP mailboxes
for free or at a nominal charge.

If you use PCS Mail to send email (authenticated SMTP mail server
smtp.sprintpcs.com), you may continue to do so without any problem;
or, you may reconfigure your client to use a different provider.

9. How will I be affected if I use a Sprint Mobile Broadband Card and
I need to access a 3rd party email provider through Time Warner, Cox,
or Comcast cable services?
a. You may continue to do so without changing your settings. While
most cable companies and businesses allow POP/IMAP access when their
subscribers are not on their network, few offer a secure way to send
email off-network and just block access altogether. If your provider
falls into this category, you will not be affected. The PCS Mail
authenticated SMTP mail relay (smtp.sprintpcs.com) will still be
available for your use.

The link to the above information can be found @ http://www.sprint.com/landings/pcsmail/
toward the top of the page. It is a java pop-up box so will need to
disable the pop-up blocking of your browser to view.
