Below is my live conversation with "Billy" from Verizon Wireless. Billy
promised me UNLIMITED data for email and webpages on my Blackberry Storm
with no 25c/MB overage charges over 5GB. Storm data is UNLIMITED!
Here's our conversation, right up to the point where he cut me off for
asking him for the URL where it says what the data charges are for the
Storm I couldn't find anywhere on the storm webpages:

that will provide quick easy access to your email, contacts, calendar, and
task lists while on the go and in the Verizon Wireless National Enhanced
Services Rate and Coverage Area. The “BlackBerry Solution” plan simplifies
remote email access while addressing crucial corporate requirements
regarding security. This plan is only an additional $44.99 per month.
Larry Butler: What's the total bill for a 300 minute phone plan with data
for the Blackberry Storm?
Billy: So your looking at the basic plan. Okay so no text right?
Larry Butler: What about the streaming the Storm does....not allowed on a
web + email only plan.
Billy: 40 for 450 minutes on single + email and web for 30.
Billy: So 70.
Larry Butler: You're advertising watching streaming videos, sending videos,
all kinds of things not related to email and web surfing...
Larry Butler: Then, this is the first time I've seen TETHERING on VZW. DUN
tethering email and web browsing ONLY?
Billy: So your looking at teathering the phone. OK. Thats a feature certain
phones can use. Its just an added cost to get that ability.
Billy: Its only 15-30 dollars depending on the plan you have already.
Larry Butler: The Storm is a tethering device....it says so right on your
ads. If I buy the 44.95 plan, I get to tether 5GB as well as what little
VZW allows on the storm?
Larry Butler: What's needed is a TRUTHFUL and SEPARATE explanation of the
plans for the Storm. This is lots more than the doomed Voyager ever was.
Storm needs its OWN plans. Without wifi and without data, Srorm is more
doomed than Voyager was.
Billy: Right. You can use the storm as a tethering device.
Billy: Buts its not added for 45 dollars.
Billy: I believe you need to call customer care at 800-922-0204. They can
clear anything up you need explaining on. Plus its alot simplier.
Larry Butler: So you want me to pay for 5GB of data for the Storm PLUS $30
for 5GB of tethered data for my Linux tablet over BT Dun? Do I get 5GB
total or 10GB total? 922-0204 is useless. They don't have any idea what a
computer is.
Larry Butler: They sit and read scripts.
Billy: Well if that is what you believe. But regardless. The information
your reading to me is all jumbled up and is not organized to the proper
details.
Larry Butler: If you call 0204 3 times, you get 3 stories...all different.
Billy: What do you tell them or ask them.?
Larry Butler: What you just said is PRECISELY why someone in AUTHORITY
needs to sit down and put up a webpage of what the storm charges are for
ALL it's features....It's not one of those hobbled up smartphones you sell.
Billy: Depending on what you ask or are concerned about. Reflects the
information they have for you. They can only tell you what you ask for.
Larry Butler: I asked how much does it cost to have a Storm and use it for
tethering to my tablet.
Billy: SO I take it you have not seen the 3 videos on it we have online.
Larry Butler: The videos are mush. There's no mention of MONEY in sales
videos.

Billy: Right. But the thing is. To get the cost of the proper features. You
must understand where or what they are.
Billy: If you look under random things for the pricing. You get different
costs that mostly are not what your dealing with in the first place.
Larry Butler: Now, back to my question. I buy a Storm with a 450 min plan
for $44. I add Tethering to my tablet....that's the plan. How much does it
cost and how much data do I get for A)the storm and B) the computer?
Billy: Ok. well on the storm it self. You pay for the email and web wich is
required. for 29.99 at least.
Billy: To use as a modem. You pay for that. being you arleady have data on
the plan.
Billy: Only 15 more.
Larry Butler: And how much data do I get for each function...A)storm B)
tethered computer?
Billy: On the phone.

Billy: The labtop/pc.
Billy: Is restricted to 5 gbs.
Billy: Due to some customers doing illegal things.
Larry Butler: NOWHERE does it say ANYTHING about data to the Storm being
UNLIMITED, probably because the ATTY General of NY, Mr Cuomo, fined their
sorry asses several hundred thousand dollars for that lie. I can download
webpage after webpage and watch all the streaming webpage video I want on
the storm for $30?
Billy: From the detail I have here. Yes its unlimited.< UNLIMITED AGAIN!
Larry Butler: I can just see that first bill for 5GB plus 25c/MB for the
other 8,826MB coming in now.....just like the iPhone fiasco at ATT. Well,
I've got your word so we won't have to pay it.

rearrange your plan if you dont have it set up the way it meets your needs.

questions and I'll report to them what you said was the truth.
Billy: And yet I have never seen or heard of it.

got for both.......Ask yourself WHY?
Well, once I'm forced to Verizon, I have Billy's word I can surf the Storm
and watch all the webpage TV I want for $30/month without paying 25c/MB.
