T-Mobile Picture Messages = No Audio Allowed?

I use Verizon, and it is common to send another verizon user a photo with an
attached wav or midi file to play in the background as the photo is
displayed on the recipient's phone. Someone told me that if such a message
is sent to a T-Mobile customer, the message will not be displayed.
Something about not being able to send audio and a photo in the same
message. Sounds nuts, but is this true? I've googled and such, but haven't
found a definitive answer. Gracias.
