I just got this phone today because I was under the impression that you
could watch videos from the web. I tried YouTube and get a message that
I don't have the Flash Player installed but when I try to get a player
from Adobe it says there isn't one for my software. What gives?
Shouldn't I be able to watch embedded videos?

m.youtube.com is a mobile-friendly version of YouTube (but only has a
fraction of the videos from the "real" YouTube site.)

To get it work on the Dash, you might need to install a few things.

Thanks for the reply. I will try this but am pretty sure I am going to
return the phone in the next couple of days. I will play around with it
some more, but I bought it because I thought I could watch streaming
video on it. Since I can't do that without a lot of trouble, I may just
go back to my Blackberry Pearl. Are there *any* handhelds that can
access YouTube and other stuff without having to install a bunch of
other software? Something that works right out of the box?

Thanks again.

The Wing does. A streaming media app is included with WM6 devices with a
touchscreen.

It still only plays vids from the mobile YouTube site, however. No
mobile phone I'm aware of can play YouTube flash videos in the browser
like a PC.
