My G1 showed up today and I think it's great. The response of the
screen is very good. I'm 100 miles away from a G3 network, but going
through my Wi-fi snaps nicely.

I'm used to a D&G RAZR, so I've got some learning ahead of me. But
that's OK. It's a very nice phone, and I'll like it even more once I
get used to it.

It would be even better if it had the Skype VoIP application on it that
would allow phone calls over the WiFi.

Works great, even over the Bluetooth tether to Alltel EVDO! With Alltel's
excellent data coverage, I can make any Skype calls, even from out in the
boondocks....(c;

Skype needs about 110Kbps for perfect coverage between TWO stations.....
