USB charging - Hi - I have a RAZR V3. I have Phone tools 3 bundled with my previous phone. I have connected the V3 via a USB cable and updated itself to the latest version via the website. works but I thought the V3 would charge via the USB..

Last Night I plugged in my E815 to Charge it up. Once I pluged it in the
phone shutoff. So I unplugged it and tried a different wall outlet.
Samething the phone shutoff when I pluged in the Charger. And the Phone does
not Charge. THe phone has been actting really Weird... The other day I
believe it was Saturday. The phone set itself to 2025 and all my alarms
starting going off. I set the date and time back and it just converted back
to 2025. Service is with Verzion.

I've had the same problem with my phone. Unplugging the charger and
then plugging it back in has helped. I THINK it's the charger, not
the phone since I was successful in getting the phone to charge on the
car charger I have. I only had this happen to me once or twice, using
a charger from a previous Motorola worked for me, and I've also been
using the charger that came with my phone with no further issues.

What happens if you plug the charger in whilst off and then turn it on at
the wall, never a good idea to stick the live plug into your phone really as
this action can produce spikes ans surges that could damage the charger, the
phone or both.
