BETA Test Opportunities for Mobile Charting and E-Mail Trip Tracking
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mobile Chart Viewer - We've built a mobile version of our new
ChartViewer at http://earthnc.com/mobile and tested it with iPhone and
Android. It uses the new HTML5 geolocation feature in iPhone OS3.0 to
center on your present location on load. Expect ongoing changes in the
user interface to improve both look and functionality as this is very
much still a BETA product.
If you have an Android phone with GPS and would like to test a dedicated
chart viewing app that includes realtime position tracking, please send
us an e-mail.
E-Mail Trip Tracking - Do you have a SPOT tracker or other system which
can generate e-mail position reports while you're underway?
We have a new system to receive e-mail track reports and auto-generate
current position and track history overlays for Google Maps and Google
Earth. These are easily embedded into any website for sharing a trip
with family, friends, or the world. We'd like to make our system
compatible with as many e-mail track report formats as possible so
please let us know if you'd like to try it with your tracking system.
Please e-mail feedback or questions regarding BETA products to
feedback.TakeThisOut@earthnc.com
