outlook express error message.

I have been using Netscape for email but it crashed and a had version of
outlook express also loaded on my computer. So I started using it for my
emails. I can receive my emails but when I try to send an error message
appears which states "please configure your email client to use
authentication" error 5550.
Can anyone help me with this problem?

It sounds like your outgoing mail (SMTP) server requires a username and
password in order to send mail. To adjust these settings, go to Tools >
Accounts > [double-click your mail account] > "Click here for advanced
sending options" > "SMTP server requires authentication".
