| I used to be able to access the iTunes store, but can't now. Just get
that stupid horizontal barber pole and after what seems like an hour, it
says it can't access the store. Any suggestions?

Wait for a couple days past Christmas. They're getting hammered by all
the iTunes gift cards that people got yesterday. |

No problems here with the NZ iTunes Store.

Thanks for the constructive reply.

Only one entry in the console, and it had nothing to do with iTunes.
Tried finding "system logs", but got so many hits in Spotlight I didn't
know which ones to look at. I also Spotlighted "iTunes" to see if it
found anything, but it listed nearly every song in my library, among
other things. Nothing that appeared relevant, as usual.

I only have one. Looked for an option to create another and couldn't
find any such thing.

Tried creating a new user account, same result, no store

Already did

Since I already rebooted and my internet connection works fine for
everything but iTunes, I don't think this one will help.

It's been this way for days.
I'm beginning to think this is yet another "incurable" Apple problem. In
the eight months I've owned my iMac, I've had a succession of them, more
than I can remember in total in 21 years I owned M$ machines. Not what I
expected at all.
Do you have any other suggestions? |

Any time Have you contacted your ISP and seen if anyone else is
having issues? What type of connection do you have? Does this occur on
other machines on the same local network? Have you tried creating a test
user account, logging in there and accessing the iTunes Store?

Thanks for your suggestions, Dave. I was working my way through them
this afternoon, when it occured to me to try accessing iTunes from
another identity. I did and it worked. It was in some network security
settings. Got access now. |
