I have VPC7 with Windows XP for my iBook. However, I have found that
Windows 98 emulates much quicker than XP. I have Windows 98 Install on
CD, but it's not a bootable disc, as I found out by attempting to
install it on VPC 7.

Now, since XP has no DOS to boot the disc from there, how in the world
can I install it on VPC 7? Please help, I think I've tried
everything!!!

Regards...

Steve

Steve just make a virtual floppy disk of a Windows 98 boot/install disk or
grab a super boot disk from a place like http://www.bootdisk.com/

VPC also recognizes and captures physical floppy media in a USB floppy drive
if you happen to have one.

For ripping floppies, I've used WinImage, WinHex or even dd in linux on a
machine with a floppy drive.

Or a premade Win98 VFD image from my site, as well as basic
installation instructions.

You have an upgrade disc which expects you are already running
a version of Windows prior to the installation.

You'll have to get DOS 6.22 installed and set up the necessary
CD-ROM drivers before you can start the Windows 98 installer.
