Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel

There have been more topics regarding this issue but I cannot find a solution for this feature. It could also be a bug in 10.6 or MS Office 2008..?
Did a complete reinstall of MS Office 2008. Somehow when I only place the Myriad Pro fontfamily in the users font folder. I can select the font within Word but the text selection completly disappears.
Did empty fontcaches, removed preferences and so without any luck.
Who has no problems with Office 2008 and the Myriad Pro font. I would like to hear!

It's a bug in Snow Leopard and Office is extremely sensitive to it.

Use Font Book to scan all your fonts. Manually disable all duplicates
and damaged fonts, then clear the font cache (you can use Onyx - free)
then reboot.
