Recently, while playing any dvd in windows media player i have noticed a
"ghost image" of what is currently on the screen trailing across the screen.
It is most noticable while there is a still image (say the title menu or the
video's logo or the FBI warning about copywrite infringement). It reminds me
of using an old tube
tv with an antenna that isn't getting a clear signal and you could always
see a second image on the screen. I reseated my graphics card and made sure
all dvd player, monitor, etc connections were tight. the puzzling part about
this is that while playing the dvd in Nero Showtime it works fine. Why don't
I just use nero showtime? good question and i'll tell you why. showtime is
very sensitive to even the slightest smudge or scratch on the disc and when
it comes across one a warning pops up that says the media has a problem that
may affect playback and then it closes the program. any help anyone can give
would be greatly appreciated. if you need any more info, please specify
exactly what you need to know and i will post it asap. thx for the help.
