can't download windows media player 9 for mac

Hi,
I'm trying to download window media 9, and it's downloading as this file:
Windows Media.sitx
It says that "it's unable to read the dictionary of the application or
extension because it is not scriptable".
"Script editor cannot open the files in script editor document format"

Any suggestions?

Well you need to have Stuffit expander installed on your Mac. The
Expander will allow you to de-compact the WMPinstaller.

Instead of WMP9, you might consider installing the WMV codecs fro
QuickTime (also now available through the MS site).
They work quite well on my mac,
