Hi MW,

9.5 stil has these 2 things that make my life very sad on Tiger,

1. I need an easy way to see wstring when debugging

and ..

2. When steping inside a function, going until the end of the function, hit
step over, and the debugger does not go back to the caler function, goes
nowhere, does not react, does not show anything, the only way around is to
stop de debugging, red button, and hit green button to continue.

These are are things that, please, must be fixed.
It really makes the work day very sad, annoying, i dont know what to say to
my windows coworkers when they sit by me to debug the code.

Please.

I'll second this... I still can not debug worth a dang on Tiger!

It's so bad that I switch back to Panther just so I can step around in
the code

And, yes, I've done all of the usual had waving...
new OS install from GM CDs
new install of CW, with appropriate updates and rebuilds
trashing of the CW preferences, etc...

The other one that really ticks me off is when the Terminal gets hosed
so you have to kill it, and CW.

Or when the standard output that is supposed to go to the terminal
window
goes to the system message window.

Or...
Oh, I guess that's enough

I've found debugging to get better after installing gdb4cw from
<http://sourceforge.net/projects/xsym4gdb/>.

For me, this was fixed by Xcode 2.1 update (tested with CW 8.3 and
9.4). Can you still reproduce this issue with Xcode 2.1?

I am still getting a lot of hanging when stepping into routines. And the
debugger will stop randomly after setting an event point.

I also think CW should update PPx to a more useful level. It's still
below the level of original PP. For example, edit field doesn't adjust
cursor; tabs view doesn't switch panel when value changes; etc.

PPx might be the only CW thing that will survive into x86 Mac era. And
it can be a vital tool even. I really hope it does for we really need a
good C++ framework in OS X.
