Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>programmer>tools (more info?)

Hello everybody, I would like to learn Xcode, the problem I do not know
anaything about programming...yeah I know it sounds strange, but I
would like to learn how to do my own stuff, so far I've been simulating
things using macromedia director, but I would like to learn things for
real if you know what I mean.

Anyone here could give me a recommendation about a good book that
covers from the basics of programming in general up to Xcode itself.

I'll appreciate any help, thanks in advance.!!!

Step into Xcode: Mac OS X Development (ISBN 0321334221) is said to be
good. However, it is worth noting that Apple provides fairly solid
documentation for technologies at Apple Developer Connection,
http://developer.apple.com

In particular, there are a few documents good for beginners (in order?):

1) Cocoa Application Tutorial Using Objective-C
2) Xcode Quick Tour Guide
3) Cocoa Fundamentals

You can search for these in the "revision history" on the documentation
page, or using the search engine on that website. Or Google.

Cheers,

Bill
