Post subject: Word & Entourage crashing when Print is selected

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
I've got an Intel iMac running Office 2004 on Leopard 10.5.4, and everytime my user tries to select Print either from the file menu or by Command-P, Word crashes. Same in Entourage. Can't get to the Print dialog window at all.
We CAN print by hitting the Print button on the toolbar, but can't access the print window to select a different printer or try saving to a PDF.
This has been happening from Office 2004 version 11.3.8 on up to the latest .5 update, and still happening. All other printing is fine, from any non-Office application, and document is fine as it will print the single copy using the print button itself, so I'm stumped.
All the regular system maintenance & diagnostics have been run, but Word and Entourage are crashing everytime they're calling up the print window. Help! |

Same here -- I think it is something with the path being wrong that is used
in selecting the print command (it may have to do with FileVault or something
that specifically changed location under 10.5). /J

To be helpful I found the solution (other people have solved similar problems
in other ways) -- but go to folder:
/Library/Printers/PPD Plugins
and trash the HP plugins in this folder and restart Word and printing to HP
printers should be fine.
