Post subject: What's a Virtual Hard Drive?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>virtualpc (more info?)

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

I'm attempting a not-so-coomputer-savvy friend with the installation of VPC 7 on her PowerPC iMac. She's 1,000 miles away, and neither of us know what questions to ask to get this installed for her. She's mentioned a file with a .vhd extension, and THINKS that means "virtual hard drive".

Can anyone explain to me what that is, and if it's something I need to worry about here?

Thanks in advance.

VHD is a virtual hard drive, and it's only one piece of the VM.
Does her VPC include an OS, if so, then you don't need to worry about
this.
