Try Cache Out X and Preferential Treatment. You can find these at
www.versiontracker.com. If these don't work, try a Permissions Repair from
Disk Utility (Hard Drive/Applications/Utilities). If this doesn't work, try
booting from the system install disk, but instead of installing anything,
immediately upon finishing startup, use the pulldown menus to have Disk
Utility repair the Hard Drive. If that doesn't work, I would consider
trashing all cache and preference files within that user's Library folder. Be
careful when messing around in Library. Make backup copies of all files that
you delete, and note where each went, so that you can roll back if necessary.
