Please Help...

I have been connecting to my offices Filemaker Database via Remote
Desktop Connection
Everything worked fine until I upgraded to a G5 Dual 2.3GHz.
Now when I select to print to a printer on my network in any
application whilst using RDC it quits out. Sometimes it prints the
copy out
but most times it does not and quits.

The old G4 (Mac OS 10.4.10) worked and printed fine. But when I use
the same settings on the G5 it quits everytime.
I have on my home network another G5 and that works fine and a G4
Powerbook that works too.

I have just formated drive and reinstalled system software, loaded
just RDC (v1.0.3) and it just quits every time.
I have tried different printers with no joy.

I connect to a Windows Server 2003 ( Terminal Service )
The problem G5 is Dual 2.3GHz with 2.5GB Ram OS 10.4.10.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Crashes during printing on Intel machines are a known issue with RDC 1.03.

Be sure to keep a lookout for the RDC 2.0 beta scheduled to be released
in about a week <http://blogs.msdn.com/macmojo/> and also check out the
Open Source client called CoRD <http://cord.sourceforge.net/>.

Hope this helps! bill

Apologies. I read too quickly.

For the sake of troubleshooting can you create a new Mac OS X user
account and connect to your Windows Server 2003 system in that account?
Do you still have the same issue? If not then you may have some
preference files that need to be trashed. You'll find them here:

'/Users/<your user account>/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/RDC Client/'

Trashing one or more of these may resolve the problem.

Hope this helps! bill

Wow - that looks like an excellent replacement for RDC. I will give it a try. Thanks!
