Post subject: RDC 2.0 sometimes crashes my VPN connection
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>rdc (more info?)

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

I am connecting to a Windows XP system over a PPTP VPN (using the Mac VPN client). When I start RDC 2.0, and enter my username, password and domain, RDC sometimes just shows a black screen. I get a series of error messages in system.log, similar to this:

pppd[563]: Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol 0xfebe

Once this has happened, the VPN connection becomes unusable, and I have to stop it and restart it.

RDC 1.0.3 works perfectly using the same VPN connection. I am at a bit of a loss to understand why RDC 1.0.2 should work, but RDC 2.0 sometimes doesn't. Any ideas?

regards,

John
