Post subject: Problems logging into to Win 2000 server remotely
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>rdc (more info?)

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Having issues connecting remotely to a Windows 2000 server network using the Mac version of MS Remote Desktop Connection.

Getting a "you were disconnected from the windows based computer because of problems with the licensing protocol"

Yet when I boot into windows XP via bootcamp it works fine through remote desktop in X, but I can't print to my HP 2100 here on my home based wireless network from within the remote environment like I can from the mac using RDC.

Running 2.0.0 MS RDC

It's really a pain since I can't print from the PC side via bootcamp to my printer.

Ideas?

Have you checked if there are TS licenses available on the Windows
2000 TS Licensing Server?
An XP client receives a free TS CAL from the built-in pool of
licenses, but for a Macintosh (or linux or thin) client you need a
purchased license.

I am having this same issue, and I do have plenty of licenses left (my thin clients connect just fine).
