We are running 10.4.2 Tiger on our Macs, with RDC 1.0.3 connecting to a
2003 server. Every where I can think of we have the Idle session limit
disconnect set to NEVER yet all of our clients get disconnected after
an undetermined amount of idle time. I've checked the client
settings, group settings, TS manager settings, the Mac Systems
Preferences "Energy Saver" and everywhere I can find it's set to
NEVER disconnect yet we get disconnected. Please help!

Cheers
Jan

Hi Jan!

Have you checked for any group policies that may be causing this
behavior? Have a look a the "Sessions for Terminal Services" header on
this page
<http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/w2k3/gp/group_policy_comp_terminal_
services.htm#Set%20time%20limit%20for%20active%20but%20idle...>.

Hope this helps! bill

And if the problem still exists after double-checking all GPOs,
then it's time to check your routers.

It's perfectly possible that there is a router between your clients
and your server, which sees no traffic and decides that the session
must have ended and throws it out.
The solution in that case is to enable KeepAlives. For the correct
registry key, check:

216783 - Unable to Completely Disconnect a Terminal Server
Connection
