I have set up an Intel iMac to see the desktop of a Windows XP box
through Microsoft RDC and and a Firewire connection, and it works
great. Had to turn the XP firewall OFF for the firewire connection, but
it shouldn't matter.
The problem is that I cannot print from the PC to the Epson Stylus
Photo connected to the iMac through USB. When I go to Add A Printer, it
gets to where it shows Microsoft Windows Network, under it shows
WorkGroup, but no printer shows up.
The other problem (which may be related) is that I cannot get the XP to
share the iMac's Internet connection.
The Mac firewall is OFF, Printer and Internet share is ON, and as I
said, the XP firewall is OFF for firewire.
Any ideas? |

Hi,
As far as I am aware, if you are using RDC on the Mac, an attached
printer has to be a Postscript printer.

Correct, the attached printer has to be a PostScript Printer. I haven't
tested the firewire configuration you are describing. Are you having
trouble adding the Printer on the Mac side, or on your Windows XP box?
