Post subject: Orinoco driver
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>comm, others (more info?)

my setup

Tibook 512 Mo 667 MHz
System Mac OS X 10.4.4

Airport : working
Pcmcia wireless card Orinoco NEC AtermWL11C ( to improve the range) and
WirelessDriver 6

I want to connect to a WEP protected wireless base station (128 bit hex
key)

With Airport: no problem

With Orinoco card:

The signal strength is maximal
The value of the WEP Key has no influence on the signal strength
No Internet connexion either with TCPIP in DHCP or Manual

When TCPIP in DHCP, network pref indicates "access to internet not
garanteed" (translation from french)

When TCPIP in manual, network pref indicates "you are connected to
internet" (translation from french)

It seems that the WEP key is not taken into account

Any suggestion?

PS : I have also tried IOXperts driver; no success
