Hi,
You know there is a group for Entourage
()microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage or for Office for Mac
(microsoft.public.mac.office)?

Yeah, you had probably upgraded your previous version of Office before
you reinstalled.
I woudl stringly recommend using the uninstaller to completely (and
properly) remoe Office from your Mac. Then use the 12.1.0 updater (SR1),
then 12.1.3, then finally 12.1.4
If your problems persusts, launch Entourage pressing down the Option key
to get to the database Utility (AFTER you have updated all the way to
12.1.4). Use the utility to rebuild your identity,

Nope, they are safely stored in the Microsoft User Data folder in
~/Documents.
