Happy New Year to all.

Trying to open various *.*x files with my OS 10.4.11 mac and Office X.

Downloaded the converter (after downloading updates 11.5.3) and get the
error "2147483640"

My Office X applications are in the Office X folder, not the Office 2004
folder (which only has Entourage in it).

Should I move my apps to Office 2004 folder and reinstall updates or is
Office X too far removed from reality at this point to be able to open *.*x
files?

Thanks

Hi,

The converter works automatically with Office 2004, but I don't think it
has Office X integration. Instead, use it as a stand-alone program.
