That was sorta my question. I am guessing that it won't sync with MTNW
from the reply.

Yeah that would be best. But if it is something I can do in a minute
or two just before I leave home, that would be acceptable. Does the
newrc option fit that bill?
While planning ahead does go against everything I hold sacred, I can
do it on occasion if ABSOLUTELY necessary (g).

Well, it loads the groups but not the messages Sad
I just export it from MacSoup... maybe it works 100% for MT-NW?

Since NewsTap can import and export newsrc, and since MTNW can transfer
newsrc, theoretically it would be possible to synchronize them. Whether
it actually works between those two programs or how long it takes, or
if it is worth the effort is something I can't answer since I don't use
MTNW.

I guess you could create a separate group window with just the select
few newsgroups.

For my personal use I mainly want to read one newsgroup on the iPhone
if I am away from home a while and I don't have my Macbook Pro with me.
I don't think syncing is a major need for my use. What I do before
leaving home is catch up on the one newsgroup on my Mac and mark all
the posts as read on the iPhone. And vise versa when I get home.

To me, selecting text is a precursor to copy and paste.

Being able to highlight a text selection to be copied to the reply is
cut/copy and paste.

No, because the application doesn't actually put the selected text on
the clipboard. The clipboard isn't used at all in that case.

That said, text selection is certainly necessary for copy and paste to
work.
