Hello,
I'm a PC user, say what you will...I will say that as soon as I latch onto
some more $$, I'll certainly be seeing about getting a new Mac, if, for the
very least, to learn to use it, and then maybe make it my desktop...people I
know that use Macs swear by them for the most part.
A friend of mine has some questions that I've tried to scout out for her,
but haven't. I've done some baseline research from Google, but haven't
found any definitive answers, and would like to see if anybody can point me
down the right path.
1) I attempted to download the newest Adobe Reader for Mac, v. 7, and kept
getting a message like this:
_______________________________________________________________
Safari can't open the file "AdbeRdr 708_DLM_en_us.dmg" because it is still
downloading
_______________________________________________________________
What gives?
2) I poked around, and it seemed as though my friend is, by default, an
administrator. Why does she get this message, when she attempts to delete
desktop icons?
________________________________________________________________
The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient
priveleges for some of the items
________________________________________________________________
Yes, I tried to delete them one by one, also...
3) My stupidest questions, which I'm sure that I could figure out by trial
and error, if I spent enough time at her place...
What are some moron-friendly ways to eject a CD? Does Mac like some CD
types better than others?
Thank you in advance,
smackedass
