I recently purchased an AsanteTalk adapter to enable me to hook up my
old Personal Laserwriter 320 to my iBook G4, running Tiger 10.4.4. I
connected all the bits and cables as directed, and turned AppleTalk on,
but am unable to get the iBook to recognize that there is a printer
hooked up. After a little looking around and reading old posts, etc., I
realized what may be at least part of the problem -- there is no
Printer Utility located in the Utilities folder. I have no idea why,
and I have never had a printer hooked up to the computer since I bought
it last fall.
Is it possible to install the Printer Utility using the installation
disks that came with the computer, or do I need to completely reinstall
the system software, or what is my next step? Any suggestions greatly
appreciated.
Regards,
Julia
