God... If there's any legitimacy to this one, I sure hope Apple doesn't
keep the brain-dead right-click detection technology the current Mighty
mouse uses...

I will reiterate that I have been very pleased with Macally programable
mice.

You really think they fixed this in later revisions? If that's truly the
case, I'm definitely inclined to do what you suggest!

When did you buy yours?

I'm curious... My Mighty Mouse has this on the bottom:

Designed by Apple in California
Assembled in Malaysia
Model No.: A1152 EMC No.: 2058

What's your new one say?

Ok I'm intrigued! Thanks for the suggestion - it hadn't occurred to me
that Apple may have actually made revisions to the thing. In hind sight,
that's silly of me, because they do this all the time with most of their
stuff! I think I'll pay a visit to the Apple store and see if I can take
one for a spin.

I'm another one that prefers a hard mouse pad. In my case that's one made by
Allsop. The exact model I have doesn't appear on the Allsop web site but the
"Cupertino" model they do feature at
<http://www.allsop.com/mousepads-and-wrist-rests/cupertino-mouse-pad> looks
to be similar.

Mine is the same as JR's, and I got it last April with my iMac.

PS: JR: The clean-it-with-a-cloth method doesn't seem to do much more that
using the clean-it-with-a-piece-of-paper approach.
