All was going well for the past 5 years. I then used a 3rd party program (Pc
fine Tune from Earthlink) to get my computer to start faster. It basically
cleans out temp files and does a defrag. Now, MS Word attachments won't open
although loaded on my machine. JPGs won't open with Photodraw.
I am familiar with Folder Options and have all .doc files pointed to MS
Word and .jpgs pointed ot Photodraw.
Any solutions would be oh so greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

It sounds like the program you received from your internet provider is conflicting with our installed Microsoft products. I have two suggestions:
1. Contact Earthlink and tell them what the program is doing so maybe they can release updates for it in the future to prevent these dilemmas from occurring.

2. Contact Microsoft and explain the situation to them so they can lead you in the right steps to hopefully get your problem straightened out.

Thank you for your assistance. I had spent 3 hrs with Earthlink support and
got nowhere. They told me to reinstsall MS Office. But, I had both programs
already loaded so I didn't want to muck things up by doing that.
I will call Microsoft tomorrow morning.
