Post subject: Leopard Retrospect backup ?
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>system (more info?)

My wife just upgraded her Mac to Leopard. Since I haven't and I do the
backups, I have a couple of basic questions if someone has the time.

My Mac OS X 10.4.10.

What is the relative base size of Leopard vs. Tiger?

Any reason to keep the old System that shows on her hard drive after
installing Leopard?

I use Retrospect 6.1.126 to backup and duplicate my Mac directly to
external hard drives and my wife's Mac over our ethernet LAN. Was
planning on continuing with that practice.

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks.

MacOS new user here. Where is the "old system" on her hard drive? I
upgraded my new Mac Mini to Leopard (it ships with the older O/S
installed). I would definitely like to delete the "old system" if I
can find it.

It's a folder at the root level of the hard drive named Previous Systems
and it's only present if you went out of your way to select the "Archive
and Install" option. You probably didn't do that, so you have nothing
to delete.
