Buy 2 19" LCD monitors. This assumes you need room for lots of open
windows, and not one very large image or video you need to display.
The PowerMac G5 systems as shipped can drive 2 monitors. The PowerMac
Dual G5/2.5 I received last Thursday, has an Apple ADC connector, and a
DVI connector. Each port will drive a monitor. A DVI to VGA adaptor is
included if you need a VGA connection.
I purchased an ADC to DVI adaptor so I could use the ADC port. I now
have 2 18" LDC monitors attached to my PowerMac for the cost of a Belkin
ADC to DVI adaptor (already had the monitors).
You should be able to get 2 19" LCD displays for $300 each if you shop
well <http://dealmac.com>. Dell is often offering discounts on their
monitors if you watch dealmac.com for a little while.
2 19" LCDs would give you 2560x1024 pixels of real estate (1280x1024
each). The MacOSX software will seamless make the 2 screens look like
one display (except of course for the vertical plastic stripe in the
middle
Then later, you can add an additional graphics card, and add 2 more LCD
screens, to increase your real estate even more.
