| I'm wondering if theres a freeware firewall taht will work for OS 9.
I've found some pay-for ones but I'd like to think that theres a freebie
one out there like there are for the windoze.
Also, do I really need a firewall anyway?

| It might seem rash -- to some -- to suggest you don't need a firewall
on an OS9 box, but frankly I don't think you do. To the best of my
knowledge, OS 9 had no network aware services that were TCP/IP aware,
so provided you weren't plugged into a routed AppleTalk network, I
don't see why you'd have to worry.
