I have downloaded the Office for Mac trial and would also like to try the Expressions pack that comes with one of the bundles but it seems that the trial download is only for a PC. Is that true? Is there anyway to get a trial copy to play with before dropping hundreds of dollars on it?

I don't believe they have a trial for expressions. If you buy a hard copy of
Office you can actually buy the Office 2008 + Expressions cheaper than the
standard version.

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac $192.99

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Special Media Edition $183.99

Hope this helps!

Diane,

Here is the link to the option to "try" the expressions pack:

The trial software is a trial of Mac Office only. Although Expression Media
is included with one of the Office editions it is not a part of the Office
suite. AFAIK there is no trial version of it.

DO NOT confuse it with the PC software of a similar name: Expression Studio
3 is a completely different body of software.

The information on *only* this page describes what is included in the
Office:Mac 2008 Special Media Edition [which lists for only $100 more than
the Standard edition.]:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/expression-media.mspx The link from
there to "Expression Media 2" is an egregious error which actually takes you
to the Expression Studio 3 page -- that software is not available for the
Mac.
