Post subject: Duplex Printing from RDC on Mac Shared Printer
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>rdc (more info?)

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC

I have a G5 with 10.5.5. A LaserWriter 8500 is shared with RDC. I connect to a WinXp Pro. The print setup shows The 8500 with duplex available and
flipping on long edge. Printing is from FrameMaker 7.2

But the print comes out on one side only. Other options like two up printing work. It even is willing to set the 48M memory.

Is this a know issue? Fixable from Windows with some option? Fixable from the Mac with some option?

When you say "shared with RDC" do you mean that the printer is connected
directly to the Mac or are you trying to use the printer as a network
printer? If you can network the printer then I suggest just setting that
up as a network printer on the XP machine itself.

Hope this helps!
