I get an error that says unable to find the computer you are trying to
attach to. This happens when I use the name; Example 048-0120-TPC1.

When I use the ip address of that computer I am able to attach and login.

My Mac OSX 10.5.5 all updated; Windows machines all updates done.

I have checked Microsoft's website and followed their trouble shooting
procedures without any success.

You might ask why I don't use ips. They are dynamic and change every 48
hours on our network.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated. I will not be back in that school
until Monday.

Thanks.

You're using the short name of the machine. Use its fully qualified
domain name such as:

048-0120-TPC1.domain.com

Hope this helps!
