Thanks! The other cool thing is that you can then upgrade to Bryce 6.1
(download about 650 MB) for about $20, such a deal! That's only good
until 6/30/2007 though. You do have to register with them to get the
serial for 5.5 and then they entice you with the upgrade to $19.98. I'm
downloading the update to Bryce 6 now.

There was also a coupon for a free Masters Series tutorial, I grabbed
"The Block" a 450 MB download. I also ended up getting the the "Big
Bryce Bundle II" which consists of a tutorial DVD, a content kit and a
bonus pack. There was a 50% off until 6/30/2007 so I thought, why not.

Even if people don't want to upgrade, it looks like you can also freely
download Bryce Lightning 2 along with the free Bryce 5.5. Lighting is a
network rendering client. The free Lightning is a PowerPC app, the one
you get with the upgrade to Bryce 6 is a Universal app. With multiple
free copies of 5.5 and Lightning, you could probably configure a
rendering farm.

Make yourself a hotmail or gmail address and put them there...?

There's no need. Unlike some of the idiots over in alt.comp.freeware, I
realize that Daz isn't going to require names and email addresses for
the two people you "have" to tell. Having registered, downloaded and
installed it, I accepted the license. I wasn't required to report back
to Daz on who I told.

That's why I said "That's just stupid", I was talking about the other
newsgroup. Go on over to alt.comp.freeware and read the thread, quite a
few maroons over there.

I'd like to thank Dave Balderstone for actually fulfilling the license
requirements. Smile
