I have a used G4 cube without a power supply and would like to know:
1. How can I tell if it has an ethernet card?
2. Will the mac systems in the G4 Cubes run a zip drive or do I
need to install software for this?
Thanks very much for any and all help.

All G4 Cubes have built-in ethernet. It's the socket that looks like a large
phone socket (next to the actual phone socket for the modem). It MIGHT have
the additional wireless ethernet (called Airport), but you'd have to open
the case to see if the card is installed.
Your Cube should run a USB Zip drive just fine using the native software
from the OS.

No problem. I thought I made a mistake once, but I was wrong. 8^)

Gotta correct Brian here: you would normally just run System Profiler
to see what is installed in hardware. Don't open the case for something
like that.
You can also tell from Network settings and options, and if it came
included originally, it will be mentioned in the description sticker on
the case (although possibly abbreviated). |

I would normally agree with you, but she has no power adapter!
