Very Basic Questions about a Used G4 Cube?

I have a used G4 cube without a power supply and would like to know:

1. How can I tell if it has an ethernet card?
2. Will the mac systems in the G4 Cubes run a zip drive or do I
need to install software for this?

It does -- you can tell by the Ethernet port on it.
Looks like a phone connector, only too wide.

You need to install only the driver -- certainly they will run a Zip
drive, they used to come with them included (not on the cube, of
course).
