Version: v.X
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

I have updated Office X for Mac to 10.1.9, but is there supposed to be a AutoUpdate utility for Office X? Or do I have to seek out updates on my own on an ad hoc basis? Entourage is at 10.1.6, Word is at 10.1.8, Excel and powerpoint are are at 10.1.9, but I am as much concerned about security and functional updates (assuming Microsoft pays attention to Office X anymore).

You are fully updated. Microsoft does not update each application with
updates. See Confused over Microsoft Update Version numbers?

The true test of any upgrade is the Microsoft Component Plugin. It's
always updated.

Office for Mac X is end of life. No further updates will be issued.

The AutoUpdate utility was introduced in the next version of Office,
which was Office 2004. It does not exist for Office X.

No need to worry about updates for Office X after 10.1.9. That was the
last and there will be no more. Microsoft only supports consumer
products like Office for Mac for about five years.

Microsoft AutoUpdate for Mac, which comes with Office, can keep your
Microsoft software up to date. When AutoUpdate is set to check for updates
automatically on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, there's no need to
search for critical updates and information; AutoUpdate delivers them
directly to your computer.
On the Help menu, click Check for Updates.
Under How would you like to check for software updates?, click
Automatically.
On the Check for Updates pop-up menu, click the frequency that you want
AutoUpdate to use to check for new updates.
Tips
If you don't want AutoUpdate to appear automatically when new updates are
available, under How would you like to check for software updates?, select
Manually.
For more information about using Microsoft AutoUpdate, see AutoUpdate Help.

Hi,

Office v.X is no longer supported by Microsoft, so there won't be any
updates anymore (except, perhaps, for some very urgent security updates).
Office v.X does not have an AutoUpdate utility; that feature was only
introduced in Office 2004.
