I am taking statistic in college and My teacher wants us to add-in data analysis and I was wondering how I can build a Histogram. I Love my mac but right now I am very frustrated.

saskiamacs -

The Analysis ToolPak (data analysis and statistical tools and wizards) is
not available for Mac Excel 2008.

You could use the array-entered FREQUENCY worksheet function or multiple
COUNTIF worksheet functions to create a frequency distribution, and you
could use a Column chart type to create the histogram chart.

The Add-Ins supplied with Win Excel & prior versions of Mac Excel ‹
including the Analysis ToolPack ‹ require VBA. Since Office 2008 does not
support VBA the Add-Ins were not included & will not run.

A previous reply from Mike Middleton referred another user to the following
web page as a possible alternative but I'm not familiar with it:

In addition to what Bob Jones has said, all the statistical functions that
were available in the analysis tool pack in prior versions of Excel are
native functions in Excel 2008. What is missing is the wizards, which relied
on VBA. Unfortunately for you, one of these the histogram wizard is not
available in Office 2008. You might also try this site for a histogram tool
and other statistical applications:
