Please update libfont-freetype-perl package

Hi, Perl Package maintainers.

I am maintaining defoma package.
I want to update libfont-freetype-perl package.
Because this package need to fix the problem of the defoma package.

I sent the patch to add the function to this package[0].
Plaease apply this patch and upload.

And this software stoped development, and can not contact to upstream.
Can this package be supported with Debian as Upstream?
