Post subject: Cannot unmark device as faulty in RAID 1 array
Archived from groups: alt>os>linux>suse (more info?)

I mistakenly removed a device and marked it faulty from a RAID 1 array

Problem is im trying to re-add it again but it's still marked as a
faulty spare . Have trawled through mdadm to find how you unmark the
device as faulty but cant seem to find anything

Root partition on opensuse 10.3 is mounted on /dev/md0 (RAID 1) with
members /dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb1

/dev/sdb1 is marked as a faulty spare, but its fine.

How do I sort this mess out?!
