Trying to figure out why mysql and php do not play nicely.

/usr/lib/php/extensions is empty.

On my old system that was full of extensions including the crucial mysql.so.

Any ideas on what is going on or the easiest fix?

Pete

The individual php package contains all the necessary files. Download and
copy to extensions.

Maybe you had a bad install

I'm beginning to wonder if that whole directory got nuked. Things were
working fine, new 12.2 install, copying various bits from 12.1 and then
suddenly nothing. Can't think what would wipe an entire directory
contents. Being as I had to search for that directory it does not look
like finger trouble.

Reinstalled, now fine. Irony was that I was reinstalling serious file
system problems on another partition.
