Post subject: packages.debian.org not properly updating?
Archived from groups: linux>debian>www (more info?)

Hi,

http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?searchon=names&v...ion=all
correctly says that unstable has clamav-data 1165, while
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/utils/clamav-data still refers to
1148.

Can somebody please take a look at this?

Greetings
Marc, not subscribed, please Cc

There is a certain delay between the update of the database the search
script uses and the update of the pages themself. Sometimes someone
notices it Wink
I like it this way over the other possibility to update the pages first
and the search data afterwards. Yesterday the delay might have been
a little longer since the update script was apparently interrupted by
a reboot of the machine.

Gruesse,

When do the cron jobs run? The cron job checking whether clamav-data
has migrated from unstable to testing runs at 05:34 CET. Is this bound
to clash with your jobs?

I had to resort to parsing packages.debian.org output since Debian
does not seem to have a public madison interface.

Greetings
Marc

I'm not sure what kind of information you are after, but: The
secure-testing archive contains something very similar to madison,
based on local copies of the Packages files. (Using package diffs,
it's actually possible to keep your local copies up-to-date without
wasting too much bandwidth.)
