Has anyone updated KDE to 3.5? If so, which repository did you use?

Do you mean KDE 4.0? SUSE 10.1, which is the oldest supported version of
SUSE, KDE 3.5.1. OpenSUSE 10.2 has KDE 3.55 while openSUSE 10.3 has both
KDE 3.5.7 and a pre-release version of KDE 4.0.

Sorry, my bad. openSUSE 10.3 updating KDE 3.5.7 to 3.5.9.

Which distro? 3.5 is the default on 10.3 and (IIRC) 10.2. Not sure
about 10.1, but the latest KDE (3.5.9) is also available for 10.1 in
those repos:

Base packages:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.1

Backports:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Backports/SUSE_Linux_10.1

Various other packages (KDE Community):
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Community/SUSE_Linux_10.1

You can add all those repos if you wish; they don't contain conflicting
packages.

Replace the "10.1" at the end with either "10.2" or "10.3", if that's
the version of openSUSE you have.

PS:
I'm running 3.5.9 on openSUSE 10.3 x86-64.

no problem here i used a mirror of openSUSE
add is yast - software - software source this url's
